Renovation and addition to a small, 800 ft ² coach house in the city of Oak Park. Local historic preservation ordinances required the maintenance of the existing structure but allowed for a modern addition. The impact of the addition to the original structure was minimized by the use of a very small connection between old and new. Follow the progress here.
